A Columbia County man was sentenced to 25 years in state prison after a jury found him guilty of sexual conduct against a child.
Jairon Gregorio Mendez, of Hillsdale, was sentenced on Wednesday in Dutchess County Court, according to Senior Assistant District Attorney Alison Stuart. A jury convicted him in October of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
