Amenia man found guilty of sexually assaulting a child

A Town of Amenia man charged with predatory sexual assault against a child was ruled to be guilty by a jury on Thursday, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.

John Moran is accused of spending years sexually assaulting a child in his home. Senior Assistant District Attorney Allison Stuart said he will receive his sentencing on March 7, noting the charge carries a minimum sentence of 10-to-life and a maximum sentence of 25-to-life.
