Two City of Poughkeepsie men were sentenced to more than 20 years each in state prison for their part in the murder of an Ulster County man last year, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.
David Perry and Daniel Barletta were charged with second-degree murder, a felony, after police said Frederick “Joey” Veitch III was found dead in a first-floor apartment on Marshall Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Perry and Barletta were convicted by a jury in August of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, and fourth-degree conspiracy, according to Kristine Whelan, bureau chief of the victim's unit for the District Attorney’s Office.
